"Ombre Tupelo" - Dangles inspired by the shape of the leaves of a Tupelo tree were given an oxidized patina that was carefully buffed along the curves to reflect how the sunlight dances off the edge of leaves..
COMPONENTS/PROCESS: Heavy 16 gauge sterling wire has been cut, filed, annealed, meticulously shaped into Tupelo leaf shapes, soldered, forged with my favorite hammer, textured with a different hammer (which I am also quite fond of ;) & then given an oxidized patina layer by layer that I carefully removed in certain areas to add depth to the design. Playfully dangling from my handforged sterling silver earwires.
LENGTH: From top of the earwire to the bottom of leaf is approximately 2 1/2 inches.
